Frequently Asked Questions

What is the return policy?

As a new small business, Gem of a Story does not offer returns at this time. All sales are final.

Thank you for your understanding.

If you receive a damaged item, or the wrong item, please reach out immediately. Refunds or exchanges for damaged items will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

How much does shipping cost?

Domestic shipping within the US is $5 for standard shipping and $15 for express shipping. Standard shipping on orders over $150 is free.

International shipping is calculated at checkout based off of carrier rates.

Gem of a Story is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Gem of a Story is also not responsible for additional duty and import taxes that may be charged by the receiving country.

When will I get my order?

Ready-to-ship pieces will ship within 3-5 business days, unless otherwise notified (such as if I am away on vacation). I will try to ship pieces out as soon as possible.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

Where are your products manufactured?

All Gem of a Story Collection items are made in my studio in beautiful Seattle, WA! I buy silver and gold in sheet and wire form, and hand fabricate them into the jewelry you see on this website. I do my best to source my gemstones and metals responsibly and ethically.

Any vintage or antique products listed on the site will include information about their origin in the product description.

How often do you drop new jewelry pieces?

I'm not sure, since this is such a new venture, but I'd like to do a product drop about every 2 months. I may restock existing designs more often.

The best place to hear about upcoming drops is by following me on Instagram @gemofastory.jewelry.

What if I don't know my ring size?

You can measure your finger with a strip of paper and look up online what size that corresponds to! Keep in mind that you should size up slightly for thicker ring bands and will have a bit more flexibility for thinner ring bands.

Or you can get a ring sizer like either of the models in this kit (not an affiliate link).
